Successful Holding of FICPI China (Shenzhen) Symposium 2009

                With presence of He Hua and Xu Youjun to give speeches

On November 15^th, Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI) China (Shenzhen) Symposium 2009 was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. He Hua, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office, and Xu Youjun, Deputy Director-general of Shenzhen Market Supervision and Administration Department attended the symposium and gave keynote speeches.

It was reported that the aim of the symposium this time was to enhance the exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign intellectual property practitioners, to better understand the similarity and difference of the intellectual property system in different areas, to enlarge the international influence of China intellectual property industry, to help Chinese enterprises know and master more knowledge of the intellectual property system, to promote the enterprises’ work standards in the intellectual property field, and strengthen the core competitiveness.

The symposium is jointly held by All-China Patent Agents Association and FICPI China Section. President of FICPI International, Mr. Peter Huntsman had attended the symposium and gave his lecture. Government members, patent agents, intellectual property lawyers, people from industry from China, Europe, U.S.A., Japan and Australia had all actively and efficiently participated in the discussion in terms of the current situation of the patent system in China, the application of patent system, and the practice issues such as the application, examination and judgment of patent for industrial design under various jurisdictions in new economic environment.
